Family in Despair

A young family is homeless, living off the generosity of others in order to stay off the streets. When this mother fainted, she was hospitalized and tested for clotting of the arteries. Meanwhile, she was unable to work and the medical bills began to pile up. This father stayed home to care for their children; ages two, four and five. With no income, and no way to pay the rent, they were evicted. Through the help of friends, they have been able to stay in a hotel, but this is only temporary. The mom is able to work again, but her income does not meet all the current needs.

Life can change in an instant. Do you want to help this family? There are several ways you can bless them. They need economical housing, furniture and daycare for the children. When daycare is found, the father can go back to work in the manufacturing industry. If you have contacts in this industry and could help with his employment, this would be a significant help. Any financial donations would help with utility hook-up fees, rent deposit and other necessities. Pray for this family and their future. The Lord hears our prayers for the needy!

Summit Church on Rescue Mission

"A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling;" Psalm 68:5. Summit Church became the arms of Love as they reached out to a widow who recently lost her husband and father of their three children. Volunteers from Summit Church, headed by paint contractor Hector Santiago, completely painted the exterior of their home. One Saturday morning, in less than four hours, this exuberant group finished the job in four hours.

Summit Church, a local hardware store, and Help Your Neighbor all donated supplies. Thank you, Summit Church, for being a good example of servant leadership and showing the love of Jesus to a family in their time of need.
